If you have created a thread, you are automatically set up to get notifications for any updates to that thread.
If you haven't created a thread, but would still like to follow it, go to the top of the thread and click on the three dots:
Then you will see the "Turn on notifications for this thread" option. Clicking on it will trigger notifications whenever that thread is updated.
